VFTB 246: Mark Combs – End the Beginning

end-the-beginningTHE WORLD we know is not the world that used to be. Cross referencing texts from a number of ancient civilizations with modern scientific theory, a picture emerges of a time when giants–demigods–walked the Earth.

Mark Combs joins us to discuss his book End the Beginning, the reasons God destroyed the world, and why Noah’s ark was such a beautiful piece of engineering.

  1. Wonderful interview with Christian author Mark Combs, Derek, thanks. There are a ton of great Christian books on the market these days, and I wish I could buy them all–but, “End the Beginning” is now high on my ever-growing list of ‘must haves”. 🙂

  2. One more prophet to mention who had an incredibly close relationship with Yahoweh of the Elohim was Balaam. Twice Yahoweh came to him (Num 22:9, 20). Twice Yahoweh met with him (Num 23:4, 16). This wasn’t through an angel of Yahoweh as with Samson’s parents, Isaiah, or Ezekiel. This was straight-forward direct contact. I always think that this is important to mention, especially in light of the De’ir ‘Alla prophecy by Balaam.

I have to admit that I am tempted to pick up a copy of Mr. Combs’ book. I’m just not sure that I want to spend the money on it just now.

    Thanks for the interview.

  3. What makes Derek such a great host:
    1. Graciously lets his guests say things he disagrees with
    2. Graciously allows himself to be overtalked
    3. Never loses his self-control
    4. Reveals but doesn’t revel in his intellect
