VFTB Live: Andrew Strom — Kundalini Warning

Kundalini Warning

THE CHURCH has been invaded by false spirits manifesting lying signs and wonders. That’s the message from Andrew Strom, a longtime member of the charismatic movement and author of the new book, Kundalini Warning: Are False Spirits Invading the Church?

Strom was part of the New Apostolic Reformation for 11 years before realizing that the leadership of the movement had no interest in discernment and repentance for its excesses. Now he’s warning about the dangers of the movement, which has led to a spiritual invasion of the church.

Hindu philosophy teaches that the kundalini is “a “corporeal energy” — an unconscious, instinctive or libidinal [sexual] force” coiled at the based of the spine.  It can be awakened by a guru laying hands on a believer and through spiritual disciplines such as yoga.

Strom documents in his book, and in videos at his website www. JohnTheBaptistTV.com, that manifestations of the kundalini spirit — shaking, jerking, uncontrolled laughter — look just like the phenomena in charismatic churches that are credited to the Holy Spirit.

  1. Haven’t listened yet, but know it will be good. I’ve met Andrew and listened to him preach. He has a firm grasp on what is happening and what is coming on the the church and the world. His most recent email thread on the church’s embrace of politics over prayer lit a firestorm of angry replies. If this is the tone from those who’ve subscribe, imagine what the response would be from the 87% of Americans who call themselves Christian. His JohnTheBaptist label might should be replaced by JeremiahTheWeepingProphet?

  2. Derek, Thanks for introducing me to another person with a ‘ministry out of time’ like yours and so many of the others on your show. I have been interested in the similarities spoken of by Andrew Storm. As you have said this is surely a time in which we must be carefull to ‘try the spirits’ to see if they are from God. There are some videos on Youtube which you might find interesting and actually speak to two issues on this show: these are videos which mix together Heavy Metal music and various forms of religious ecstasy/euphoria. Here are the links to a few: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHb4gs1hwck and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lvU-DislkI and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS8O6qds0w0 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuHJw-aHOAI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80ziyPQimEk . Of course, as you might imagine on Youtube and with Heavy Metal music…discretion is advised. If you are reticent to follow the links just search ‘Slayer goes to Church’ on Youtube. You might also find ‘Mosh Pit in Church’ quite interesting; sad and disturbing but interesting. Please notice the number of plays on these videos. One of them alone has more than 300,000.

  3. A great interview and thanks for the information. His mini-documentary on youtube is must see! Great job Derek!

  4. Agree with this – the whole Todd Bentley thing was extremely uncomfortable to watch – it felt wrong all over.

Great podcast – really happy I found this along with FutureQuake.

  5. That is well known that cash makes people autonomous. But what to do when somebody doesn’t have cash? The only one way is to get the home loans or term loan.
