  1. And for a taste of Horowitz’ Occult America, MSNBC has an extract of chapter 7 on Manly P. Hall here:

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33349767

(which also points to his friendship with Burl Ives and Bela Lugosi…)

note: this is about an upcoming interview

Derek, you may want to “pre-advertise” upcoming shows so we have a better place to comment and of course to gauge interests.

Sounds like Mr. Horowitz is on the same page as Peter Levenda (Sinister Forces: A Grimoire of American Political Witchcraft).

In the right hand column, you’ll see a calendar of upcoming shows. If you mouse over the guest’s name, you’ll see a summary of the topic. But your point is well taken; there is probably a better way to tease ahead.

  2. Hadn’t noticed that. Looking forward to the “House Church” interview. Did I mistake your having an upcoming interview with those of Dr. Future re: Horowitz? Wasn’t that something you mentioned when they interviewed you?

Which could be another place for comments… links to interviews you’ve done for others.

Here’s more by Horowitz… about Reagan. Note the echo of “Destiny” for the Mysteries of America’s founding crowd (the figure on the Nat’l Archives, http://www.flickr.com/photos/wallyg/3764760047/ )

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/political-bookworm/2010/04/reagan_and_the_occult.html

“At a 1957 commencement address at his alma mater Eureka College, Reagan, then a corporate spokesman for GE, sought to inspire students with this leaf from occult history. “This is a land of destiny,” Reagan said, “and our forefathers found their way here by some Divine system of selective service gathered here to fulfill a mission to advance man a further step in his climb from the swamps.””

If I’m not mixed up about Horowitz… then you might consider my pointers as research for hardball questions. If you have a tie-in on the Reagans to the Dominionists, YWAM, or The Family — that would go a long way toward showing a continuing occult influence even on “conservative” politics, since the founders. Or perhaps a war front?

Excellent suggestion and I will follow up. Certainly Reagan was not the devout Christian that supporters would like us to believe, and Horowitz may provide a clear link to the occult doctrines of the mystery religions and some of what’s being preached in “Christian” churches today.
