VFTB 026: Peter Levenda — Freemasons and the Founding of America

ASK 13 people about the Freemasons and you’ll get 33 different opinions. Are they a Luciferian cult that’s been plotting world domination for centuries, or are they just a fraternal group that likes to hang out together, volunteer in their communities, and drive funny little cars in parades?

Our guest tonight has researched the roots of Freemasonry and the Craft’s influence on the United States. Peter Levenda, author of the new book The Secret Temple: Masons, Mysteries, and the Founding of America, discussed the history, rituals, and symbols of Freemasonry, the brotherhood’s connection to groups like Scientology, Theosophy, and the Mormons, and why it all matters.

  1. For the most part….a drab piece.

The author continues to make statements throughout saying “most Mason’s would agree”, when in fact the majority I know would disagree.

The fact that he stated the death of Hiram Abiff murdered was like that of Demolay…..I rolled over laughing.

What evidence does he have of Thomas Jefferson grudgingly having respect for the Illuminati?

I did like the link between Morgan and Joseph Smith though. Although Peter skips the fact that Joseph Smith was kicked out of Masonry.

The internet posts 99% of the information out there, and as a Freemason…I know that 95% if false. The sad part is that these researchers take it as fact.

Oh well, at least a few parts were funny and interesting.

BTW Derek, who was your producer in Columbia…I might know him.
